Days 21 and 22: It’s a smorgasbord

Yes, I missed a day or two. Sue me. I was busy.

Frankly, I’m not feeling suuuper inspired to write today, so I’ll just give you the rundown of how this weekend went, and maybe it’ll give you some ideas of things to do around town or at home.

1. Went to a Studio Ghibli-themed market at Ani’s Day and Night.

This was crazy busy, and parking wasn’t great, but I do love Ani’s Day and Night. I wouldn’t do this again, but I would recommend this as a place to work from, grab a coffee, read from, whatever.

2. Went to St. Elmo’s Brewery with friends.

I love St. Elmo’s. Go to the south one, specifically in the St. Elmo neighborhood. There’s a ton of space, tons of parking, live music, and you can also grab some food from Spicy Boys or Patty Palace.

3. Went to Radio Coffee off of Menchaca with a new friend.

I’ve been to Radio Coffee before, but this is the best location. They have food trucks. Also? Games. Grab one and play with your friends. I spent the evening getting absolutely destroyed at chess.

4. Had a coffee date at home.

After being so incredibly busy, a friend and I had plans to catch up. I invited her to my place to have a latte at home. You can absolutely make lattes at home, just get a stovetop espresso maker and a small hand frother. Coffee at home can be fun!

5. Made things cozy.

The rest of my weekend was just spent trying to make small changes to my home to make it more comfortable. I’m on an eternal crusade against the big light, so I added some small command shelves to my bathroom and put cute pink tea lights on them. NO MORE BIG LIGHTS DURING SHOWERS. I also got some new shoe organizers so that they stop cluttering my living room. A friend of mine did me a favor while she was at my home for coffee and took some of the things I didn’t want back home to her place, where she has a use for them.

So that’s days 21 and 22 in the books! Next week, I’ll probably focus on stuff we can do inside, as rain is in the forecast for all of next week. We’ll see what we can get up to. Keep it pushing, love you, mean it!
